if you ask me rice is all show, no go. many items added that may have been designed for performance but are added just for the appearance.

i've got no problems with a civic that someone did a motor swap, turbo'd with nitrous, suspension upgrades, roll cage ect. to me that is not rice...it's race ready. sure you could put the same money into an f body and go quicker but that's their choice.

it's usually pretty easy to tell the ricer's from the racers.. it's easy to tell on an fbody too.

but everyone will have their own opinion. used to be most people's problem was the fact that the car's weren't built in the US. now it's more about tail lights and wings...wtf?

oh well, it'll never end..

I like the look of clear corners on our cars. I think changing the rear taillights to look like a Japanese or European car would be rice. (i.e. circular lenses, white and red...)

And just how many European cars have you seen with that kind of taillight?

Before you strain your brain, I'll tell you. None. Euro regulations require a red and amber rear lens, like on the 97-up Camaros.

FWIW I think clears look OK on a silver or black car. But not on much else.

Doh, my mistake. Man, I new that too. I was just talking about retrofitting cars to have the red and clear round taillights like a lot of the imports like to do.

personally i put clear front corners on mine, since mine is a 94 i have the clear/red tailight. i think the amber lens is an eyesore. my car is a purple pearl as well and it looks much better like that. i thought about switching the back to the carbon fiber lights but i dont' think i'm going to, not sure if i'd like it or not..

i don't see the need for the clear side markers since the red markers match the tailights.
