LOL!!!

I think I suggested this a while ago. It will likely eliminate the "Lounge Whores", and make for a better forum.

Of course, that's JMHO.

That's fine. But the retards who make BS "Free posts" and sh**t like that won't get anything out of it...aside from looking like an ass.

Because the board is now database driven, we can search for just about anything with a couple of clicks and get instant results. We can also change a person's post count just as easily. If we feel REALLY evil, we can do even more in a matter of seconds.

There's still going to be regular posters in there.
That's okay. That's what it is for. QUALITY posts.

I won't sugar coat like Fern...

I really don't like not counting posts in the lounge. I don't have a V8 bird, and am not really interested in tech for the V6, so aside from the 5th gen forum all my posts are in the lounge. I know you are wondering why I post here then, but like alot of people I like the community. I don't see how turning off the post count in the forum does anything but bad...like saying all the posts I make in aren't real posts or some crap. I actually like the lounge alot the way it has been. I think its kinda unfair to punish the members who make the majority of thier posts in the lounge since the majority of teh site caters to V8 powered Camaros. Also I know you are gonna say "man you must have no life if something like post count matters to you." Well I am sorry I guess it does, I like numbers. I like numbers and see no reason to just blatently piss people off with a move like this for no reason. I can see how this move will a few people off come Monday when they get back to work and see it....though no one wants to admit it I think post count matters alot. Since aboit 75% of my posts aren't important to count now, it kinda ruined a good thing.

I am a frequent poster in there and usually most of my threads have some kind of meaning or significance, but never have I made a free post or something that is out of plain stupidity. I think that what you guys did was kinda' retarded at first, then I realized why it was done. Good deal!

Thanks again, guys.

P.S. Please check my thread in this forum.
I really couldn't care less about post count, but turning it off in the Lounge ONLY kinda insults me. I post almost exclusively in the lounge since I'm not a real "tech" kinda guy. If you eliminated post counts altogether I wouldn't care, but turning it off in the lounge only makes it look like people who post in the lounge are just useless and stupid...

Exactly my point..turn it off altogether or let them all count...

Whats the point of a lounge if its like second class forum...

I also don't really like the idea of turning off the post count in the lounge. I think maybe 75% of my posts are in the lounge (the other 25% in the V6 forum) But for some people that don't own an f-body the lounge is probably the only place that they post. Also, what about all of the new people that might come here and just want to post in the lounge, they will never get any posts added to their count.

I guess I'll never see 1000+ posts

I think it's kind of a good idea, but now I feel that the other forums are going to get flooded with useless posts, just so that people can keep their count up. I agree with either turning the count totally off or leaving it on. 98% of the posters on here know who the real post whores are anyway. And I for one, don't just look at the count, I go by registered date and what I've learned from them in the past.

Just my $.02..
