Well this is the question I have. My 94 Z28 (3:23) Only slips a WOT. During normal driving it's fine even with I get on it a little (gas pedal halfway down). Could this be the throttle body cable or maybe something I could fix with a HPP? Please tranny experts let me know!

 

I'm not a expert but thats what mine did exactly when it was cooked. Mine need a rebuild.

Lift the lid and take it out the george forman grill man because its cooked..

Gonna need a freshen up on the soft parts..Dont beat it up anymore because you take the chance of hurting the hard parts wich cost money to replace when they go..As if the soft part rebuild arent already expensive..

you have 2 issues

Your clutches are smoked, glazed or completley gone. that is the WHAT is broken.

What is more intersting to me than, WHAT IS Broken in your tranny. is WHY it is broken.

Performance 4L60E's need the Trans Go Shift kit, CUSTOM PCM tuning that addresses apply and holding pressures, and or the TransGo Vacuum Modulator in addition to the PCM work.
A HUGE GVW tranny cooler is a good idea also.

Unless you addres the why issues you most likey will be back on the forum with the same issues in 3-6 months.
