Modified A4 users, need tranny help
I went to the track recently for the first time and ran a 12.7 at a 108 mph. Ive dynoed at 350 rwhp so my mph seems to be a little down. The car has been dynotuned so all the power is there. The problem is the tune has the bone stock tranny tables. These obviously need to be changed but I have no idea what to change and how much, etc.
Would anyone be able to give me a hand?

What do you think your tranny should be doing? Shifting sooner, later, firmer or softer? I will tell you what I know. Most people don't talk tranny stuff on here for some reason but I will share what I know!

More or less my WOT shift MPH and shift RPM. Tranny could also shift a little harder although I already have a shift kit.
Anyone???

If you have LT1edit or TunerCat, you can change the WOT shift rpm/mph section to change the shift points. You can also change the shift firmness by editting the pressure tables. Do you have the software? That's the first thing you need.

what have you done to the motor? Where do you wnat it to shift?
The reason many do not talk A4 here is many have M6 or other trans and do not care or help.
A friend and I came up with the A$ no shift fix and I wrote the LT1 edit trans section you see on line. Go check it out there is some good info there

Quick run down of mods...
GTP stage II heads, GTP 226/230 cam, hooker LTs, 58mm TB, cutout, 2800 stall, gears, CAI..all bolt ons possible, stock MAF, sensors etc.
The cam makes power up to 6200 RPMs and I obviously want the car to go as fast as possible.
Fred LT1 first pointed me in this direction based on his success of raising the shift RPM and MPH.
In the upper RPMs my car feels like it pulls half ass and it ended up being that my car shifts way before it makes all its power.
Ill make the WOT shift RPM 6200 I just dont know what would be good numbers for the MPH.

I am interested in the trans pressure tables. I want to get rid of the slide bump shift into second and firm up the 2-3 shift. I need to know what is acceptable for trans line pressure. I know my reverse manual 700R4 runs between 125 and 150 psi of pressure but I am not familiar with safe operating pressures on the 4L60E.
I'd appreciate any help any one can give so I know my trans will live once I add the supercharger. On top of modding the pressure and shift tables, I will be upgrading the trans a little, too.
