Question Why does my car purge the ccp so much

What is the deal with the purging of the carbon canister? Mine seems to be doing it all the time I'm not stopped. Anyone know the logic in this? Is it normal when it's hot outside? I mean there is no sensors in the tank to tell it that there is a lot of fumes in there , right?
