any sat in the back of a Malibu Maxx?!

There's insane amounts of room in the back! I'm only 5'6 so I felt like I was swimming back there.. Then this pretty big guy comes in and sits next to me and he looks at me and goes, "Wow! Even I can get into this with no problems and be really comfortable back here!" The extra degrees that you get with reclining the seat back is really nice too.

My dad's Camry is getting old and he's looking to replace it. I'm gonna try to talk him into getting one. So when I visit them I get sit in a comfortable back seat on the ride back from the airport..

Oh, I dunno if I'm losing my brain cells, but I couldn't figure out how that sunblocker thing works on the back glass sun panels.. In fact I think I broke it and got it stuck?

I sat in the back of the Maxx. The adjustable seats are a great idea.
I'm surprised another company hasn't done it before.

The back seats recline too, I wish more cars/SUVs did that. it's too hard to sleep with the seat strait up.

Mercedes has done it too. If your pop gets the Maxx---force him to buy some good looking rims! Malbu wheels are so lame

With a new-born baby, I can't think of another car w/ this much room, a hatchback like area for my dog, and for this little money. . . ~$21,000 ish.

A friend's mom has the regular Malibu and I drove it and thought it was great.

Can anyone think of anything comparable in the price range!?

Well...a base Accord or Camry. An Element too but thats an SUV/car sorta thing. Theres the Xa and Xb from Scion while are close and half the cost. A base 300 is a couple thousand more. A base Bonneville is a little more expensive. But your point is still valid, theres nothing really like it for the price. I think GM hit it on the head. I was one of the advocates for the new Malibu in the beginning when a lot of other people bashed it. I think this could really be a homerun. I didn't really like the Maxx all that much till I saw it in Chicago last weekend. Great car! That long wheelbase makes it look hot!

I agree, the Malibu Maxx is a great car.
I wasn't a big fan of the idea at first, but now that I've seen the car and what it turned out to be, it's great.
I still think that it would be cool to have an AWD version of it... like to compete with the Subaru Outback.
