Buying a FULL Suspension... But am lost in my own questions.
Well, I've been driving a 96 with the SLP suspension, it was writen off and my new car, just a Z28 jsut has the Z28 suspension, And I really likes the SLP stuff over stock.
Well everything is still new ess then 15k miles, so I kinda feel bad for replacing it and wanna do it right.
I want better (read, compromise with everything, cornering, straight line and ride), but not much lowering.
For shocks, something thats adjustable would be nice, so soft for the track, stiff for spirted driving and road course fun, and in the middle for daily driving.
I was thinking bolt in LCA relocation brackets, with some BMW LCA's
BMR panhard bar, adjustable???
Some thicker sways (maybe the ones off my SS?)
I just keep thinking that well I dont know how everything goes together, I understand how things work as individual, but not togehter so much.
Will this set up be good? as good I mean, not jar me around, as its a daily driver too. be fun in the corners, and still hold its own at the strip (compairing to a stock SS, with the slp suspension).
Any help would be great, liek what springs and shocks, and if I should change anything.
Thanks
PS, i should say this is for a M6 94 Z28

Right now i have
Bilstein HD's / stock springs
32mm hollow SLP sway bar / stock 19 mm rear z28 sway bar
Tbryne Tubular LCAs poly/poly
BMR tubular subframe connectors
jamex shock tower brace
JM non adjustable panhard rod
Edelbrock non adjustable torque arm
17x9 SS rims with 275/40/17 RE730s up front and 275/40/17 nitto drag radials in the back
Car handles great. And it doesnt ride harsh at all.
I chose the 32 hollow for improved handling and lighter than a solid.. This sway bar doesnt help my launches but it makes up for it in handling
Bilstein HD's, they dont help my launches either, probably hurts them but they help the car handle great.
Torque arm didnt really help my launches but its not going to break in two like the stock one did. I cant tell the difference in launching.
LCAs got rid of my wheel hop
Tires help make the car handle great. nittos are too soft on the sides to let the car handle as well as it could but no other tire will handle the horse power it puts out.
The car is mainly built to handle but can still pull 1.9 60 foots. (6 speed).
I'd like to get my hands on a hollow 35 mm front sway bar and swap out the 19mm rear for a hollow 21mm.
Lowering springs will affect your ride comfort the most. All the things i listed arent even noticeable until you push the car.
You might want to consider Bilstien HD's up front and Koni adjustables in the back if u drag race often. and a 35mm sway bar would probably hurt launches more than a 32mm sway bar.

The bistien and koni adjustable... I can do that? use differenet ones in the back as the front??
No Bilstein HD's arent adjustable but koni offers an adjustable shock..
That way u can set the rear koni for drag racing or road racing or somewhere inbetween. With a stiffer shock it wont allow for as much weight transfer thus hurting your launch but in turn you will handle better.
I dont know what kind of spring the SS uses.. I would think its the same as the Z28's... The SLP bilsteins would make it feel different than the z28's decarbons.. Thats probably want your feeling...
I dont know how the konis feel but Im sold on the bilsteins
