Post attn. matchstick

im unable to post on the mssra website, but was reading your post about the buick t-type-gn. i owned an 86 t-type before i bought my last transam. if your looking to buy one ,check out www.traderonline.com .under buick grandnational or buick regal for a t-type or turbo t its under the regular car section and not the specialty classic section for some reason. i bought mine off of their, and i sold it their also. its the cheapest place to buy. as for performance ,yes 19 psi is alot of boost for only 8.3s,but its just a 231 v6. but that still seams off. a stock 86-87 should run some 9.1s in the 8th. pulling the airfilter out, installing a 160 th. and a chip, and gutting the cat. and maybe some hooker exhaust or just running the exh. open afer the cat. should get the car down to 8.3s.not couting the price of exhaust it should cost only 125 bucks.thats at about 16-17 psi. installing an adjustable wastegate for 78 bucks and raising the boost will put it in 8.0s- 8.1s. a torq. conv. is worth about .3and should run some 7.7s.pretty cheap to mod really. i know a guy in cleve. tn that was wanting to sale his 87 turbo-t .its dark blue and the interior is perfect. it has an aftermarket turbo and i think it runs 7.3s-7.4s at brainerd. if you want to know any info about these cars check out www.turbobuick.com. also if you know anyone that wants to buy any ws-6 t/a wheels let me know.thanks

Thanks for the info. I've been over at Turbobuick.com for a little while. I think that phase has finally passed. Thank God! I was thinking of getting one, but they're priced way too high for what I want to do with one. I've already just about ruined one perfectly good new car, I just hate to do it to another.

sorry i havent posted ive had problems connecting for four days now. buicks are pretty cool cars but i know what you mean about spending alot of money. i did give 5400 hundred for my t-type and it was in good condition and came with all of the receipts including turbo rebuild. the car i mentioned in cleve.tn was for sale for 7k i think.but he spun a bearing. its still apart and could be bought for less or they said he would rebuild it and sale for 85 hundred. its a real nice car as far as body, paint, and interior. the trans. has been built and has a conv.. and a bigger turbo already in it.so theirs alot of expensive parts already bought. if someone was looking for one of those cars it would be a nice car to have. on another note i FINALLY got my junk running as amazing as it seems!!!!!! hopefully itll run pretty decent, but atleast it is finally going. later
