I guess for the first time in history Chevy dealers are complaining they have too many good products to sell already and have no room for a new Nomad- go figure.

Maybe Saab will be get the Vauxhall Lightning concept??

GM says it is making progress on turning around the profits of two of its ongoing loss-makers, Saab and Saturn, through cost reductions and new models coming this year. GM product boss confirmed that the company will build the Saturn Curve, one of the Kappa platform cars at this week's Detroit Auto Show. The Pontiac Solstice and Curve will be built at Saturn's Wilmington, Del., plant. The Chevy Nomad Kappa concept is a tougher proposition, said Lutz. "Chevy has so much product coming already that dealers are starting to complain about where they will put it all," said Lutz. Lutz also said Saturn will soon get a " big brother" to the Saturn VUE in the form of a big crossover SUV, though he declined to peg a launch date. GM said its stronger performance in the second half of 2003, when its U.S. market share rose to 28.7 percent compared to 28 percent for all of 2003, will carry over into 2004. -Jim Burt

I'm pretty sure that the VX Lightning has been approved also.

At least in pictures, the Nomad looks much better than the Curve. It's a shame Chevy already has "too much" product to support it.

If true, good news on the VX Lightning. That thing looks great!

Chevy having too much product???? I don't get it. What did they do in the mid 90's????

Cav
Caprice
Camaro
Corvette
Beretta
Corsica
Lumina
C/K
Astro
Blazer
S-10
Suburban
Full Size Van
Not to forget all of GEO's models

I just don;t get it, if they think they can sell it, I'm sure they would find a place for it. do you suppose they don;t have room at the plant to make the Nomad???? I guess if that were the case it sounds better to say they have too much product at the delerships than to say they don;t have enough room at the plant to make the car.

Cool, the Curve was my favorite out of all the Kappa class cars. If it's priced the same as the Solstice, has the availability to use the same aftermarket, and comes with a manual option, I may get one and have a fun little car to play with and have more money when I decide to upgrade my house.

Why am I not surprised ....the Nomad was the closest yet to something I'd be interested in

Could the Saab 9x be built on Kappa?

Or ...make it a GMC ....the roof follows the XUV theme perfectly

I still think Cadillac should get a version of the Vauxhall Lightning to compete against the Z3, Boxter, SLK and etc
