2004, 2005 year Chevys
How will the styling of the new car lineup affect the Camaro?
Personally, I don't know if those 05 corvette headlights would look good on a Camaro. I'd love to see a first gen front look.

Well as long as the Maibu doesnt offer any hints I think we'll be OK.
In my opinion, thats the only one of the new Chevys that I just dont like the styling at all. I dont really think much can be drawn from the current cars styling however. I dont really see a current theme.
I halfway expect the next Camaro the be styled more upright, along the lines of Holden coupes and obviously the new GTO. It really wouldnt suprise me that instead of the Camaro and Firebird being "brothers," as they have been in the past, the Camaro and GTO be come less distiguisable "cousins."

I think the Camaro will have fenders that have creases off them, like the Impala and Malibu(see also 69' Camaro). I think they will be more bold however and I am pretty sure the car won't be as curvy as the 4th gen but will have curves, creases, and shrp character lines like the C6 but not like new Caddys.

I would hope the Camaro would have no corporate styling at all, since it really never has. I would also hope that those headlights will never get anywhere near the 5th Gen, or the round taillights.

I agree, no corp. styling, only Camaro styling.

GM hired designer Bryan Nesbitt from Chrysler (the one who designed the PT Cruiser). He is responsible for GM's unibody architecture designs.
He basically not only has design imput, but also integrates design ideas to structures.
He spent alot of time at Camaro gatherings and functions shortly after his arrival, is an advid Camaro fan.
That's all I'll say on this subject.

Along those same lines, but taking a different path: How will the new mustang effect the styling of the next gen camaro?
I beleive based on the success of the '05 stang, GM may or may not go retro on the next gen Camaro in competition. Do we have a re-match in the making that's similar to the '64 stang and '67 camaro where Ford breaks ground in the Pony car market and GM is caught with it's pants down trying to play catch-up?
I really think that Ford has hit upon something here, although I don't completely love all the styling cues of the car, nonetheless it's certainly a bold move.
This could have a trickle-down effect at the General....

I hope not too, but SSR, HHR, and the new Nomad concept are all retro-mania... I don't know that Mr. Lutz would have been involved in SSR or not, but most certainly the other two...

Apparently there have already been styling clinics featuring a Chevrolet coupe. The car's design could actually be done, save for some minor tweaks and touch-ups here and there.

At least they didn't borrow from the Mako Shark in designing the C6. (But then, that might have been cool.
)
