Post Syracuse Nationals/Central NY gathering

Well, friday July 19-Sunday July 21 there is the biggest car gathering on the east coast here in Syracuse NY at the fairgrounds.

http://www.syracusenats.com/

last year there was over 6k classic and muscle cars that attended. From what i hear, its will be bigger this year.

I am gathering interest in seeing who is willing to come out saturday, hit the car show (GREAT TIME if you like cars) and then cruise the local car scene, where last year all the muscle cars from the show terrorized the streets. still have dreams about hundreds if not over a thousand cars doing burnouts and whole shots for hours.

definitly a good time.

i have talked to andrew coats who plans on coming up friday and crashing over my place.

here is the schedule i had talked over with a few people.

12noon - everyone meets up
1pm -x? pm - Walk the car show
6-7pm ish - grab some food...shoot the ****
9-930pm-12am+ - go home (babies), or hang out and cruise the local scene!

if anyone is interested in crashing, i could see what i can do, but i need to know asap.

email me @ camaross@twcny.rr.com if you have any questions or suggestions.

Where we're gonna gather and when would help out. Any expected costs, etc. Is anyone going to enter their car? I know I wont yet.

hey geoff

here is from the first post

12noon - everyone meets up
1pm -x? pm - Walk the car show
6-7pm ish - grab some food...shoot the ****
9-930pm-12am+ - go home (babies), or hang out and cruise the local scene!

i figure we can meet up at wegmans in liverpool. its about 1.5 miles north of thru-way exit 38. really easy to get to...and once i get committments, i will send out directions to those interested.

as for entering your car..unless your car is from 1977 or before you can't enter it...well scratch that..you can enter your car, but you just have to say its a 1977 or older...a few people did that last year. you wont win anything though.

i think its like $5-8 to get into the fairgrounds, but they have all sorts of vendors and things to do. so, how much you wanna spend in on you.

we plan going to dinner afterwards...so depending on what you like to eat, i would figure to spend $10-20 for that, depending on what you get.

depending on if you get anything, but i would guess the cheapest you will spend will be around $25, thats not including your gas, but if you want, i would bring some extra cash in case you wanted to get something.

but its hard to say, cause i dont know you well enough to say you will only spend $20.

beyond that, i dont know of any unexpected costs., we will meet saturday july 20th around noon here in liverpool/syracuse.

if you want, email me and i can get more specific with you if you like.

I think I might go too. I'm from downstate, but I went to school in Binghamton so it might be nice to go up there for a weekend.

Perfect! That's the info I needed. Alrighty then, count me in. I dont intend to buy any parts there, but I might. Who knows. My fiancee may come along too, idk yet. She's a car person, and that the cars are all 77 or older, should be fun!
