CZ28.com Nats DVD Preview Party -Saturday January 17th in Clinton Township?

I want to have a preview party for the finished DVD on Saturday, January 17th. If you want to attend, and driving to Lansing, Michigan isn't a problem, we could have it here at my house.

If, however, you want to locate the party somewhere closer to Clinton Township, I'm all for that as well. However, we'll need someone to organize food, venue, TV (bigger is better), and location.

I've gotten most of the DVD finished, except the M8 footage, the list of credits, and some final tweaks to the DVD menus. I'll have a couple copies of the DVD on-hand for the party that you can buy and take home, and when the production version comes in, you can exchange your generic copy for the real deal.

Some folks that I would love to see attend would include:

John Hurst and his crew
Taner and Jen Bosnali
Mike and Dave Bamford
Craig Fountain
Jeff Ledford
All winners of the race classes

And of course,
Chris, Jason, Dave, Jacob, and anyone else that helped put the event together.

Thanks,
--Daniel Burk

Okay then Mike, Check out the edit of the previous post. My wife informed me she has to work on that Saturday, anyway. Therefore, it'll have to be a Sunday afternoon, the 11th. Will that work foryou?

I'd prefer to have it towards the SE side of Michigan as most of the participants were from out that way. However, I can hold it here, if necessary. The ol' house holds quite a few people, and then there's the garage, which is heated & quite nice upstairs. There's something like 600 square feet upstairs, if you can ignore the OSB flooring and lack of furniture... Timberwolf's seen it before, but not since it was drywalled, painted, and cleaned.

I'd like to get some folks to help put together food & drinks, so that all I need to do is show up, pop in the DVD, and enjoy it with you all.

OKAY!

I busted A** again last night, and got the M8 footage done, along with a few other surprises. All I have to do to finish is a small edit change on the interviews (Add some still photos from the Milan events), then create the menu structure!

This DVD now packs nearly NINETY minutes of never-before-seen action, starring all of you!

Music by Steve Terzian, and some additional music by a recording artist I cannot yet name, as he hasn't officially approved my use of his music. (I cross my fingers and pray!!!!)

I have a feeling you are going to like the M8 video short. My kids watched it this morning and they were dancing to the music such that the monitor was swaying dangerously back and forth on my desk.

Sounds good to me. I got to test the DVD yesterday, and found that the DVD-R disc works in newer players but not in my 1998 vintage RCA DVD player. The 17th gives me more time to sort out the bugs, add the titles (JASON!), re-equalize some of the sound levels, create disc and cover art, and see about getting some discs that play in older players.

Party time & place?

Chris and Jason,

I got the list of credits, thanks. They are compiled and just need to be added to the final project.

Artwork is 3/4 done: Disc art is 100% done. DVD jacket is nearly complete and looking awesome.

About the only thing left is final EQ on sound (which wont be perfect due to the use of CAMCORDER microphones for everything, but hey, we cannot complain)

Now, how about a time and place? You figure when you want it, and I am there!

Time for bed,
--Dan
