WTB: 1LE intake elbow
Where might someone buy a 1LE intake elbow in central florida? If not around here, where else might be a good place to pick one up? Will the local dealers be able to order it? I really would like to not deal with them because of the 150% markup on parts.

jsut noticed your sig.
www.speedautomotive.com sells lt1 driveshafts for $25, when i got mine, i think other peopel have gotten them shipped for ~$40.
jsut saying, I had an unbalanced driveshaft problem and it tore apart my pinion seal, causing me to leak differential fluid, which i tried to keep up on but eventually my gears got fecked.
Sorry cannot help you with the !Le elbow though.

This might be a dumb question, but how do you know if you have an unbalanced driveshaft?

i've been told that when your car vibrates at higher speeds, and that vibration seems to come from the center of the car, its probably the driveshaft. its a problem that was on the 1985 - 1998 f-body's i believe with steel driveshafts, but don't quote me on that. the aluminum ones are suppose to be ok.
on mine it just vibrates at about 60-70mph at WOT then goes away... kinda strange. i don't notice it under normal driving, only while under WOT at about 60-70mph. when it goes higher than about 75 or so it'll go away. i assume its the driveshaft, but since it doesn't happen all the time i'll probably let it go for awhile. it might not even be the driveshaft, i'm not 100% sure.
the vibration is kind of like going over those divit things on the side of a highway at very high speed. you know how your car shakes like that and has that sound? EXACTLY what mine does at WOT around 60 - 70mph.

w/one hell of an unbalanced driveshaft... its more like a back massager at 70mph at WOT
