Not a Real Kill but I Humbled a LS1 WS6
Last week while coming to work...
I Humbled a 2002 WS6 (I believe it was either a 01 or 02) that came up next to me and threw a few revs at me with a very cocky look on his face. It was a nice black new Ram air car that had those nice polished Comp Ta type 17inch rims. My car was somewhat quiet that he thought he must have had easy pickens on this Lt1. He had his Windows rolled up and I had my electric cutout closed and I am pretty sure he could not hear the blower plus I was taking it easy on the throttle (playing possum with him). I then threw him back a few quick small revs (with the cutout closed). We only had like ~150 ft and I then open the cutout and we went thru about 3/4 of First gear with him and had to let off cuz of traffic (he started falling back quickly) and my car with the 383 w boost, longtubes and Open Borla cutout, sounded like a Raped Aped, it even gave me chills
This WS6 did not want anything to do with me after that even though the road opened up later, We had like a full clear stretch of road for like 1/8 mile. But no matter what I did now to him, he would not run and the look on his face after we went for the quick ~150ft blast was Priceless. He still would not even look my way afterwards (no matter how much I tried to entice him for a full out run). I can still remember the first cocky look that he gave me like "My WS6 will rock you" type a look but after the quick little blast the look on his face changed to "I aint gonna race you cuz I can see you will destroy me" type a look.
It's was funny to see his face so I thought I would share.
UPDATE!! Borla E-cutout with Video Clip
YOU WILL NEED QUICKTIME TO VIEW
DMH Borla Cutout 1

sometimes the links dont work when u click on them - just right click the link and click "save target as" then save it on the desktop or something.
You can see that my car is still rich, I cant wait to get it Dyno Tuned with Wideband o2.

Nice kill. He definately asked for that slice of humble pie.
But all things considered I'd still rather have his car in my driveway. A black LS1 WS6 that is showroom clean looks SWEET.

Thanks...And I use to feel the same way about the Ws6 too but now I see them too often so I still like my car better now that it has the mods I wanted. But I do think the SLP Firehawks with the sleeker hood looks the best and the SS looks sweet too but I see even more of those than I do Ws6s but I would never trade my car now (with all da goodies I finally got) for anyone of the new LS1 cars, well mabee the new GTO when it hits the show room floor . Sometimes I really wonder why GM killed em, if they were not selling so well then how come I have seen so many of them on the road on a daily basis...go figure.
Thx,
claude

I take down fully modded blown 383s all the time with my stock '02 WS6.
Nice kill. I know how fun it is to turn cocky into not-so-cocky-anymore.

383 with a blower is awesome. I have a bud that has that combo and with suspension mods runs 6.80s in the 1/8th in a full weight LT1 TA
All I can say is ... Better him than me to take that butt whippin...lol
There has got to be some mental anguish left with him.

Must be nice. It's threads like these that make me want to really modify my car.
I was reading your site, that's an awesome ride you've got there.

Thx for the kind words guys.
dont get me wrong....I dont hate the LS1s but I do admire how quickly the can make Serious power with just some bolt ons and a cam. I have a friend in my car club, Bryan Loo, that has all the bolt ons, lots suspenions work, a spool in the rear, a cam and 125 shot of N20 and he consistently runs 10.6 at 12X. MPH and has been running this fast for over a year. So I admire and have lots of respect for the LS1.... but Cocky S.O.B.s driving a nice car is still a Cocky S.o.b.s and God!! do I love serving Humble pie to a cocky s.ob. (when I can).
Thx,
Claude

Nice kill...i hate cocky people like that. Hearing this from you definatly makes me wanna get my DMH cutout now. Even though i can't do the same to some LS1's, i may be able to scare some stangs into submission.

You should definetly get the Electric cutout from DMH. I will have a sound clip of my car this weekend to show folks what a difference it makes on my car. If I can find someone to host the 15 second video for me, I will post the link here.
Thx,
Claude

LMAO this morning coming to work
Its been over a month since I had the run in with this guy and this morning while coming into work. The same exact guy in the same exact car was right next to me in the next lane. He looked at me once and then acted like he did not see me. Eventhough he was Right there in the next lane. Never once did he rev his motor up at me or wanted to run. The look on his face was again priceless. I think its funny that I left such an impression on him over a month ago
