killed a cobra

Don't know what year Cobra it was, prob 98-02. (Don't know much about them) Anyway we were both entering the highway and he got the jump on me, but I slammed it into 2nd (I was in 3rd). I started to catch him but then by the time i shifted into 4th we were about dead even. I very slowly started to pull (I had enough time to look over and watch). But as soon as we crept over the hill, there was traffic ahead, so he let off and so did I. I was pretty surprised to take him like that, being all I have is a Lid.

From what I see, those cobras are off the pace from LS1's (mph and ET), and if the cobra got the jump and it took the poster a second to downshift and get on it, then I think "kill" is a fine term.

01 Cobras have ran 13.2's@106 stock, it takes a driver but the potential is there.if thats not ls1 pace then i dont know what is....I also witnessed a stock 01 whip up on a 99 ss a4(passenger) from a 40-50 mph jump....

Around here, those cobras trap anywhere from 98mph -103ishmph. LS1 autos trap 104's all day and M6's trap 105-108mph. I guess people around here cant drive. Either that or 3500lbs + 3.27's + 270rwhp stock = slow times and low mph. Check out stangnet, alot of the guys there get similar mph to what i am talking about. There are some freaksout there, like all cars.

a kill is a kill, whether its my 6 inches or 6 car lengths. Just because he was only creeping past him doesn't mean its not a kill, he still won...

Nice job... Makes me think back to the time I killed a cobra. Beating one of fords "fastest" production cars makes ya feel good (especially when you have close to no mods).
