1st kill at college--GTO!!!

Hey guys me n 2 of my roomates were goin to a party when we saw a 3kgt GTO in front of us. I've been itching for some action lately so i follow. we get to the highway and i'm pacing him at 35 mph. I give him a half car jump then punch it. My roomate put it the best all i heard was your car roarin right by him. pulled about three cars on him then shut down. Pull next to him n he said sumthin but we cudn't hear it. this is where it gets funny we see the light ahead turning red so i stop n he flies thru it giving me a ricer flyby. i am sick of getting a freakin fly by every time i race so i punch it thru the light catch up n play with him for a little bit gasing it comin bak etc then he floors it trying to get away from me n i give him a dose of his own medicine when he slows back down a nice ricer fly by. haven't raced in a while so i had a itch to scratch. Not sure of mods on car all i could hear were fart cans. first 3kgt kill add on one more victory for the beast gotta love american muscle

So, you killed a turbo 3000GT.

Good kill...but I was expecting something else, for some reason.

Well, last August I was looking into ordering one for delivery this coming December, but 35K for a play car was a little too much for me to handle. (That and the fact that it weighs 3600 lbs kept me away.)

I think GM is still planning on a December 2003 initial shipment. When I saw this thread, I thought, "Hey! Maybe GM delivered some early."

I'm not trying to bust b*lls here but what the hell is a 3kgt GTO? Do you mean the Mitsubishi 3000GT or the new Pontiac GTO? If someone could explain this to me I'd appreciate it.

The Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 is known as GTO to some people. I think that's the name of the car in Japan or somethin, not 100% sure

the 3000gt is known as the Gto.

just like the new Pontiac gto is known as a Holden.

Gto is an italian phrase.

Gran turismo olligato

they ALL copied from the Ferrari GTO

In Japan it's the GTO; they didn't call it that here for obvious reasons. It's way too easy for someone to use the letters from 3000 GT and stick them on to read GTO.

I don't see why the upcoming GTO's weight of 3600 lbs would be a put-off. My car weighs 4070 lbs and it has no problem going fast. Do heads & cam on the LS1 GTO and it'll haul serious ass.

The fact that the driver turned down an opportunity to run from a light shows he's a real tard. Even if his car was slower overall he should have been able to do well from light to light.

well weight, in the drag racing world is the enemy. (that and heat)

if vr4s had weighed 3600 clean from the factory..they would have put a better figth to supras..

also woudl have handled better..imagine a GTO heads and cam weiginh 3400 flat.

Gotta love the ricer-flyby...

My brother was sitting at a light once and up comes a WRX with exhaust and the kid revs it. So my brother does the same and they go on green. My brother kills the kid and shuts down, then the kid flies by him, flies in front of my brother and slams on the brakes! My brother almost rear-ended the kid and the kid sped off. What kind of **** is that?!

My brother has a high 13-second 87 Mustang GT.
