I was walking to my car after school and a friend of mine pulls up and says I should race this kis who graduated last year. So the kid comes over in his car an 89 Ford Probe GT Turbo. He tells me about his car

Boost controller
exhaust
Some fake ram air made out of flexible home duct.
and other pointless crap

My friend matt who has a civic says i should try so whatever i did.

Now at my school there is a two lane overpass about 1/4 mile so all my friends get to the overpass and pull over(like 15 kids in 5 cars) me and the kid in the probe never said when to go or any thing so the first time over was a joke

The second time over we pull door to dooor and go i was ruining him and he wouldn't quit he went through the break down lane to try and catch me. At the end of the road there is a set of lights that i saw turn red towards the end so i hit my breaks and he keeps goin. I stopped and at the lights he split two cars missing each by no more than an inch. He gets flagged down by one of the people he split (some lady in a volvo wagon) and I go back to the school and 5 minutes later he shows up. At the begining he said he was gonna run 8 psi well half way there he decided to run 16. He was a big kid but the weight didn't even come close to my car me and my brother. He almost killed himself just to try and beat me it was so dumb, why can't people just admit they lost.

i have a friend with a 91 probe GT. his car only has a boost controller, turbo back 3 in exhaust, an intake, and a fuel pump. and his car runs mid 14's. i raced him my 95 Z 6-speed and only pulled a few cars on him. some people are just dumbasses. i raced a guy in a Iroc once, i let off and 100 and hit my brakes and he kept going, so i got on it again and was past him, let off about 110 this time and he kept going, some people just dont know when its over.

id think hed be a fairly decent race for your 6..if not come up on top...there peppy those gts

Don't race in traffic, and don't race with high school kids. A few inches either way, and the outcome of this story would be very different.

Been there, done that, almost killed myself, friends, and innocent people more times than I can count. Also have the tickets to
show for it.

If someone wants to race, take it to a back road, with nobody around, or spend $15 and go to the track.

I would love nothing more than to be able to go to the track but.....My parents wont let me they think i'm gonna ruin my car. They dont understand. My father told me he used to street race with my uncle in his 70 Z/28 but i at least want to do it legally and they wont let me. My mother doesn;t get it she didn;t get her license till she was 21, and she thinks i'm gonna crash driving in a straight line so I have no where to go except the street and thats really not what i want to do.

I'll admit the thing was faster than i thought but it was a hack job i mean c'mon home duct for an intake give me a break thats pathetic. I'm pissed he turned his boost up too he told me he was gonna run 8 psi until my tire broke loose on the speed bump (it had been raining) he got scared and turned it up.

my parents were the same way. but i went anyways. they closed the track for the season here and it was only open 1 day a week and it was closed more than it was open. i would much rather keep it on the track than the street. but outside of driving 2 hours just to get there, its not happening. people around here dont understand that if the want to try to stop street racing, they need to make us a place to go.

As long as you don't take daddys car to the track you'll be fine.

sounds just like my parents, my mom says no, my dad doesnt ever anwser with a yes or no, its always "your gonna get hooked and your car will be tore up in a month" i guess he knows but still i want to race!!!
