Question Weight Differance Between an 81 Hardtop and T-top Z?

I have one of each. I pulled the motor and trans from the hardtop and put it in the T-top car. The T-top car has been gutted of all AC and HVAC, front crash bar and all bumperettes and brackets, all sound deadner. I have added an 8 point rollbar and subframe connectors. These are the only differances between the two cars so, what do you think the weight differance will be? The motor/trans. went a best of 12.52 @ 107 in the hardtop and I would like to atleast get similar times in the T-top car. Any ideas?

shouldn't be much difference at all, I don't think they really put any extra reinforcement in t-top cars - it's the convertibles that are heavier becuase of the extra reinforcing

I just checked out www.nastyz28.com - probably the most informative site for 2nd gen Camaros - and they don't list a different weight for coupes vs. T-tops - just 3600lbs for an '81 Z28. So even if there is a slight difference, it must not be worth noting. HTH.
