BFG Drag Radials or Nitto's
Hey guys. Well, I am seriously considering getting either of these tires to mount on my '88 TA wheels. This way, even if I take the '94 to the track, I can bolt the wheels from the '88 on there and have some sticky tires. I primarly use the '88 for thrashing on it, so it would work well. Which do you guys think would be better, Nitto's or Drag TAs? Which are cheaper? Thanks.

Do they make them for the 16" rim? Do they make them stock tire height? Thanks.

I have 4 friends running the Nitto's They all say that the Nitto's are great on the track and on the street. also not so scarry at high speed. I hope this helps even though it is through word of mouth not first hand

I just got my 275/50/15 nittos. love them. car runs 13.67 best (first time at track w/this car/eng. and lots to play w/still) and it got 2 1.92 60's and the rest were under 2.02. w/20 psi never spun (but didnt launch from full stahl either, did try 2k launch a few times though) the nittos were $154 ea. shipped from www.tires.com and the bfg.s were $130 ea. plus $5 shipping from summit. Ive heard the nittos are better traction, but bfg's last longer. Id recomend the nittos.
also, you do know that your 3 and 4 gen cars use two diff. offset rims right? I have a 4 gen rearend in my Iroc so my 15 x 10" rims w/7.5" offset will fit both my 86 and my 95. just have to shave the rear calipers a little. no big deal.
and, noone had my size bfg.s in stock. as for stock size, they make 255/50/16's in both which will fit on stock rims perfect.

I used my 4.10 4th gen rear in my '88 as well until I got my fourth gen car. Now, it is there. The '88 rear wheels fit on my '94, I have bolted them in before with no problem. They stick out just slightly compared to the stock ones, but work great!
