'97Z goes 9's...with a stock bottom end

Just got back from E-Town... and the green monster has FINALLY done it!!!

3 Consecutive 9second runs in 91degree heat with a DA of 2400ft

It ran a 9.99... a 9.95...and a 9.96 all @ 134 and change with the usual crappy E-Town Saturday track prep and bouncin' off the rev limiter @1000ft....

I think this setup is the most you can squeeze out of a Stock Bottom end LT1...only runnin a 2 stage 150 shot...

Gotta give it up to the boys at East Coast Supercharging for making one hell of a heads/cam car

I haven't run it N/A in over a year (well before the new cam and some other goodies... back then It was runnin pretty consistant 11.4s... based on the math... I would say she should be right around 11.0s now (But the 4800-5200 stall wouldn't like the no-juice idea....so who knows)

The car is really set-up to run on the juice....

And besides.... runnin' her N/A after knowin' what she does on the juice would be alot like kissin' your sister.... or trading in your Z/Firebird for a honda

Geezer....

you'll get more bang for your buck from a supercharger for a street car... But if your gonna make an all out track car... a good set of heads, a BIG cam, and a few other goodies and viola...9s

Not to mention, a supercharger is the most cost effective source of continuous power.

If Doug says slap a blower on it..... I would have to listen to him... and thats exactly what I'm doin' to the vette... He says slap a Magnuson on it... and I said "OK" (@440rwhp for 5800...not bad)

That's very true. But lt1's and blowers don't have the greatest relationship.I understand one day there will be a rebuild in the furture but later then sooner is how I look at it.
