Can't tell you of anything in particular, but there is always Music City Raceway (Union Hill) for some 1/8 mile action. There's also Beech Bend in Bowling Green for some 1/4 mile runs.

The MTFBA meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month, so you happen to be coming in between our meetings. Some of our members might be heading to one of the tracks during the time that you are in. Check out the club site www.mtfba.org and post in the forum to see if anyone wants to meet up with ya.

Music city is about half an hour away from Franklin, on the north side of Nashville. Bowling Green KY is about an hour from downtown Nashville, 1.5 hrs from Franklin.

There is also a cruise-in in Murfreesboro (my town! ) every Friday evening that is usually pretty cool. Murfreesboro is about half an hour or so east of Franklin. There used to always be a Saturday night car show in Franklin, but I heard it really isn't as good as it used to be.

Yeah, there are often some very cool cars at Special FX. The summer months seem to be the best time to go.
