Question McLeod adjustable master... how do I swap it?

Yay for me, I got a T56 with a new-in-box McLeod street twin and adjustable master.

I know from a kazillion searches that you need to use the McLeod master with this clutch. But how do you remove the stock master cylinder from the hydraulics assembly??? It looks like there's some kind of screw or pushpin or something that clamps the hose on... how do you remove it?

Thanks!

I'm giving you a bump on this one. I have the same question. All I know is the stock unit is sealed and not servicable. I'm not sure how to approach taking it apart.

Cool

Remove the complete hydraulic assembly from the car. There is a small pin pressed into the bottom of the master cylinder that holds the braided hose in the MC fitting. Use a punch and push it out. Insert the fitting into the Mcleod MC and reuse the stock pin to secure it.

Well when i replaced my clutch with a slp clutch i was told i had to replace the master cylinder and slave cylinder. So i got a new setup from the dealer. OMG that was almost more of a b***h to do then installing the clutch itself. It came all assembled and pre-bled. But i couldn't get it on without having to take it apart. The hardest part was trying to get the pushrod though the pedel assembly. And on the engine side of it trying to get the hose attached back on the master cylinder because there is no room for your hands to fit or get any kind of leverage to push. That part alone took about 1 hr. Do you have to replace the slave and master cylinder with the mcleod or just the master?

Look here:
http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...sity/index.htm

There is a good "write up" and some good pics of the install.

You do not have to replace the slave when you upgrade your master cylinder.

Re: McLeod adjustable master... how do I swap it?

Is the LT1 master cylinder and the LS1 master cylinder the same?

Who sell this and for how much?
