Post Want to have some fun...

I am currently in the middle of building an engine for my 1994 automatic T/a.

The only mods installed are a 3 inch catback and BFG Drag Radials.

Prior to the catback and DR's, the car ran a 14.20 @ 96 mph on a 2.2 60'.

What would I be able to expect, on the stickier tire and if I pulled my front sway bar?

Like I have said before, I am bored- and when I go racing Friday night, I would like to have something a touch more fun.

Thanks!!

Steve

My experience with cat backs on my '94 was great sound and absolutely zero increace in performance. The exhaust restriction in the '94 is in the stock exhaust manifold.

The drag radials should help a bit in your 60' times and overall ET.

That said, if the weather is hot/humid, and the bp is low, you may not actually be able to qualify any increase in performance at the track. Weather can vary performance by several tenths.

Clean the air filter, make sure the plug wires are good, that you have good gas, and have fun. Don't worry too much about performance. Concentrate on your launch and reaction times.
