woohoo! Passed Aircare Today!

I failed twice last year, first was horrid, I took the car to some minut brake place and they bent me over while installing 2 new O2' sensors to the tune of 500 bucks... They took my car to aircare again, and while it failed, they showed the reciet of work so I was allowed a conditional pass...

After that, I got my CAT replaced under warrenty, and re-programmed my PCM to read 28 lb/hr injectors rather then the stock 24's so it wouldn't be dumping in so much fuel.

having the day off work and with my insurance due in a month, i decided to try my luck!

Maximum Allowed
Hydrocarbons: 0.5000
Carbon Monoxide: 9.3200
Oxides of Nitrogen: 1.2400

I can't find the orginal/first time I tried, I seem to only have the second run.

Readings with new 02's, but faulty cat and 24 lb/hr injectors:
Hydrocarbons: 0.6601 - Fail
Carbon Monoxide: 9.1109 - Pass
Oxides of Nitrogen: 0.6960 - Pass

Todays Test with 9 month old 02's, a 6 month old CAT and 28 lb/hr injector constants:
Hydrocarbons: 0.0061 - Pass
Carbon Monoxide: 0.1141 - Pass
Oxides of Nitrogen: 1.0582 - Pass

Whlie my Nitrogen levels seem to be up, the Hydrocarbons and Carbon Monoxide is down DRASTICALLY! I was very surprised those 2 tests were so low! EXTREMELY below the normal average.

I got to sit in the car while she ran the test as they were painting the booth and I had my scanmaster on a BLM (right I think) setting and watched it fluctuate, and it was actually slightly lean most of the time (130 most of the time upwards of 140)

But damn, was she ever nasty on the car... Riding the brake the whole time while on the gas to follow the line/speed the computer dicated in front of her... And shifting... It hurt to hear it

But i'm just glad the POS passed

Ahhh I know all about the AirCare PITA now... and yes, they are BRUTAL on your car while driving it (no, I don't drive the car in 2nd gear at 4000rpms... they're called four-four gears dumbass! SHIFT ****! )...

Good to hear another car got through. God I can't wait for them to scrap that crap-*** program.
