Hi guys...

Well, I'm seriously thinking about finally getting a new Camaro. I have been debating the whole "stripes" package. I plan to keep the new Camaro for quite a few years so I am trying to decide whether stripes or no stripes. I've seen some older cars where pinstripes peel off.

Is this a consideration with the stripes as used today? Does this material hold up to day-to-day use? Or is this just asking for trouble down the road.

 

The stripes will work fine provided that...

• They are a high quality material (OEM or better)
• They are installed professionally
• They are well maintained (avoid waxing/polishing too close to the edge, keep them clean, etc)

So, don't go cheap, make sure whoever puts them on knows what they are doing and maintain them and they should last you a good long time.
