Looks like Bones and Link are working on some kind of CamaroZ28.com recruitment award. I missed the announcement for that contest...

I feel the need remind everyone of this. It is good to spread the word to grow the communtiy or interact with the members here, but don't tell your grandmother or neice or UPS guy to sign up for an account here just to vote knowing they will never come back.
We will try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but at the same time if there is any hint of foul play we will have to check into it. If someone has a large amount of votes from new members who just signed up, voted and has zero posts, etc., we may have to make adjustments to the poll outcome if we feel it will keep things fair and honest. Any indication of fraud will be immediately disqualify the entry. It will really suck for us to have to do that so please don't give us the idea that we will need to. If anyone has a "confession" or needs something clarified or altered regarding their votes because this was not completely understood, please PM me and I will be happy to take care of it.
We are just offering this contest as a cool way for everone to get involved with the Camaro and each other and have some fun while winning a few prizes. If you cheat the system, it hurts the giver more than it helps the taker and we'd like to feel comfortable about doing a contest like this in the future.
Again, we thank everyone for remaining fair and honest.

Gentlemen and Ladies,
All this talk about the "less than 20 posts should be disqualified" nonsense. If that's the case then I can't vote for myself. Nor could my dad vote for me nor my wife. If I can quote from podcast #216 "We encourage people to get the word out, to try to get people to vote for your car." It was in this spirit that I tried to get a bunch of friends and family to vote for me, as I am still "new" to the site and haven't built up many relationships here yet.
That being said, I won't actively pursue any further votes than the ones I've already emailed and I'll let the chips fall where they may. I guess I got caught up the "competition" aspect of the contest. That being said, any cool Camaro schwag I get is totally appreciated, so good luck to my fellow contestants, and thanks to Chris and Jason for pulling together such a great sponsor list to donate all the cool prizes.
Judd (aka Bones3180)
P.S. any of you multi-number posters who haven't voted yet and want a new friend for life. . . VOTE FOR ME!!!!

Well I understand your competitive nature, I don't really agree with your motives. This is NOT a popularity contest, and in no way should it matter how new or old you are to this forum. Heck, most people on here have never met eachother because people are from all over the country and elsewhere. This is simply a PHOTO contest and that is how people should be voting. Vote for the best taken picture, most creative picture, or however else you want to judge the PICTURE.
I don't think it is right to encourage people to sign up (aka friends and family) just to help you get more votes. Most of those people will probably never visit back to this site because they are probably not CAMARO ENTHUSIAST!
IMO: The top ten photos should have been put up with the names (Screen Names) removed. That would have help a little.
If you are not getting the votes you want, then next time you should maybe put a little more thought into the picture that you are taking. I mean, it's not like the admin here didn't give everyone MORE than enough time to get entries in. There were alot of people that had their photos in before the first real due date.

Maybe the admins should consider disqualifying all voters with less than 20 posts or something.

*Sigh* Sadly, this goes on all the time on different forums, especially when big ticket items are to be won. You cannot trust people to go on the honor system, as that is what the admins were hoping for.
Just out of boredom, I went through linkwpc's votes, as he's currently in the lead. Outside of 9 votes, all the other votes were members who registered after this thread was made - just to vote.
Chris and Jason, you guys are nice enough to give away such awesome prizes, and nothing gets me more angry when people take advantage/abuse the system. IMO, I think all votes should be removed with registration dates after this thread was made.

You have no idea where these votes are coming come. But I do and now Jason knows. How do you know that my votes are not from camaro enthusiast? There other websites about camaros that people are in and they happen not to be in this one. Just because they are new, do not mean they are not camaro enthusiasts... Also they should be counted. Just because they do not wish to post here, does not mean they should not vote....

You're right. I don't know where those votes are coming from, but from an outsider looking in, it looks as though you're campaigning for votes.
I'm glad that Jason knows...

While it was a lot of fun going out and taking pics for this contest, I am very disappointed in the results with the voting 'situation'. Should have known from the "Help my baby win this photo contest" & etc. threads in the lounge . . .
I am no longer disappointed that my photo didn't make the final cut. I feel for the guys that made the effort to set up their shots. It's sad that the effort is wasted because someone has more family/friends wiling to register on a forum to make one vote.
Hope the admins figure this out and the grand prize goes to the photo that actually deserves it. That's all.

I can see 5, 6, maybe even 7 new people, but when there are 30-35 new people voting for one person, that is stuffing the ballot box.

Well you do not have any idea how many people I have met have you??? Remember, on the picture that I have in the contest, there were 32 camaros... That was just in July. I have more people since then...
