Victorious
Finally. He called me!
Here are the cars:
Me - signature car
Him - SRT4 Stage 1 Neon with aftermarket BOV, wastegate, and intercooler. (18lbs boost)
Race 1:
Started at about 60. I'm auto so I manually put it into 3rd and I don't know what gear he was in but his turbo was screaming. He honked us off and we both took off. I gained about a car and a half by 110 then I shut down. At the stoplight he said "I caught you!" And I replied, "After I shut down at 110...". His reply, "Realy!?"
Race 2:
We agree to shut down at 110 after he says "I can go to 160, faster than you." We start at about 25. I'm in I OD mode and hes in 2nd I think, I only heard him shift once so. Anyways, he honks again and I punch it and my car downshifts to first and man, I lost traction like crazy. I swerved all over my lane and almost got into his so I braked to straighten out and the rehit it (keep in mind, never stopped race and I never lost the lead) then by 110 I had 3-4 cars on him.
We pulled off in the Lowe's parking lot that we work at and his first comment was "DAMN you camaro is fast". Then he said it sound "f***ing nice" and was claiming it was his first loss to a camaro and he's raced plenty of LS1s.
I told him his blowout valve was making a nice whistle on the shifts.
A funny thing also happened while we were doing our first race. He hit a bird and feathers went everywhere. At Lowe's we found it's head on the radiator but couldn't find its body. Think he decapitated it.

Is that his first "fast" car? He should know better than to talk smack to anyone with a mod list approaching yours when he's packing such a close-to-stock setup.
Anyway, glad you won!

I'm not sure, but he's pretty cocky when it comes to his car.

Nice kill!!
Never having owned an F-body, I can only guess what your car runs based on what I've seen at the track.I'd say 12.5-12.7 in the 113-115 range.
I put his car at a low to mid 13 at about 107'ish.
Should have had one race from a dig, the way drag racing was meant to be. But the fact that you dominated him from the SRT4's strongest point (from a roll),means you would have completely wasted him at the track.
FWIW, best of only 3 runs on mine was 14.102 @ 101.727 with a 2.18 60'. That was bone stock with about 8k miles.
Once again, good kill

thanks, we wanted to a dig, but we were on a feeder road that was maybe a 1/4 mile stretch and we didn't want to stop the 2 or 3 cars behind us to do it. He said himself it would be a waste, because from that 25 roll even though I spun out and almost lost control, I was still in front. I punched it at 25 and didn't expect to loose traction like that, just got my car back 2 weeks ago so still trying to tame the new beast.
Was just now looking up stages for the SRT-4 and all the mods he has done would put it equal to Stage 2. Said he's done intercooler, wastegate, blowout valve, map sensor, cai, 3" downpipe, and cutout from what I can remember, so I guess better for me that I won.
