You are going to have to stick with a 12 inch brake setup , anything bigger will not clear. You might want to look into the "LS1" upgrade not bad for the price. I pick my up from http://www.speedautomotive.com/ for 300.00 shipped.

Not all wheels will have the same clearance.

I think I recall 12.1" rotors being used on C4 wheels, but don't take my word for it of course.

LS1/98+ brakes are the biggest that will fit under stock wheels. They are 11.9" rotors I believe.

I'm running them on stock 16" Pontiac 5 spokes and the caliper barely clears. The outside edge is only about 1/4" from the inside of the wheel.

Thanks for the replies but I cannot decide if I want to go with LS1 or C5 brakes. I'd like C5 brakes but then I'd have to buy 17" wheels and tires. I plan on road racing in my car for fun-could I get by on LS1 brakes or am I better off just waiting and getting the C5 kit? Does anybody think the Baer sport kit (pbr 2 piston caliper 12" rotors) is more effective than the LS1 setup? Thanks.

Teke , salad shooters are fine wti the LSI kit. The problem is usually that the spare doesn't fit . My car is a 97 and the spare does fit but many don't .
