Which wax/polish has the best uv protection for plastic

I live in FL and the amount of sun we get down here= to all unprotected plastic pieces. My last set of plastic ZR1 center caps faded badly even with a three stage zaino application. What would be, in your opinion, better for the new ones I am getting?

Thanks!

Is it painted plastic? If so, Zaino is one of the better ones for UV protection. If not painted plastic, you could try Aerospace 303 Protectant. It's sold in most boating stores.

I believe they will be painted plastic with bowtie decals ordered from SLP.

Here is the link:

The problem is, I think the last ones that faded were also painted plastic from AFS Wheels. I have kept up with the zaino on the wheels every six months including the center caps. The wheels look great, its only the painted caps that faded. Maybe heat from the hub is doing it? They are not melted, just faded on the surface like paint will do if left in the sun unprotected. The bowtie logo has turned pink!

I'd suggest keeping the caps you have and getting some replacement bowties in vinyl. Check F-Body Vinyl by Brent Franker in the vendor index. Very high quality guy and merchandise. Excellent price. If he doesn't make them already... and I think he does, he can make whatever you need. It will last longer that that painted stuff.
