Scratches in a pearl paint?

Today it's snowing like a mother - but I made it to work safe and sound.

Unfortunately you're never out of harms way. A co-worker who was pulling in to the spot next to me must have cut her wheel and continued in a foward direction, directly into my Subaru. I looked at it, and decided to put the claim in with her insurance. So all of that nonsense is out of the way.

I was just curious now, because the paint is "Obsidian Black Pearl", and not just a flat color, will they have to repaint the entire bumper or can they match it just like any other color? I'm just wondering if its going to be an in-and-out operation or if i'm going to need a rental for a little while.

What a PITA. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I don't know anything about pearl, but I know metallic really won't ever match completely properly ever again.
