Re: 2001 Z28 plug change

Sounds like you have a cracked one. I would check the ceramic for cracks - especially on plug#8. Also, when you re-seat the wire on the coilpacks, make sure they click twice.

Re: Sub-frame connector for 02 Convertible?

They make some specific ones for your car. You have to weld them in, but it is well worth it.

Re: NEWS: Chevrolet backs down, offers some Z/28 parts for non-Z/28 Camaros

This article implies that it wasn't the plan all along. Just sayin!

Re: rear main seal

You get everything you need in the kit. Again, though, I would recommend against polyurethane unless you have a track car or something.

Re: rear main seal

I doubt the two are related but it does sound like a bad trans mount. Real easy to swap and you can get them almost anywhere. I wouldn't recommend polyurethane unless you want to feel every single...

Re: Hennessey Twin Turbo Camaro ZL1

I agree, it seems like a lot of work to pick up 1.0 to 1.5 seconds in the 1/4 mile. Put headers, some basic bolt-ons, and some tire on a stock ZL1 and you could probably get close to that.

Re: Build and Price Z/28. . .

Don't forget that you probably need a new set of tires every 10,000 miles. What is that going to be about $2000 per year? They need like a 4000 mile per year lease for that car.

Re: cat delete or high flow

Michigan? Hell yea get rid of them! Get a nice set of long tubes and a good cat back. If you are worried about sound, try the dynomax muffler that has the flapper valve.

Re: You knew it was coming! Self driving car laws

I was thinking the same thing except going on vacation, slotting in at the Ohio Turnpike, and waking up in Philly.

Re: Anyone here used a PF46E ?

Didn't even know they made an "E". I bought a case of the regular ones a decade ago and I am still using them up.

Re: Mild LS1 Camshaft kits

I made 390 with a ported stock heads and LPE 207-220 cam on the stock tune (02 M6 Firehawk). Car made 303 stock. 450 is going to take more than that.

The 403 in my sig made 450 through a very...

Re: Problems with 2013 Hot Wheels Camaro

Did you try gas line antifreeze in the tank? My wife's Traverse just had a frozen sending unit when she was low on gas and it is less than a year old. In this kind of extended extreme weather bad...

As long as they replaced what was broken, you will be fine.

I wonder what it will make with a cam, tune, and a pulley, or even just a tune and a pulley?

Re: Ls7 vs ls3

If it is a street car I would do an LS1 or with a D1-SC. Or put just an LS7 in it and have 500 to the wheels. Have you ever ridden in a car with an F1? Those things aren't anything close to being a...

Re: LS1 cylinder head

If you can't thread one back in, just pull the head. A shop should be able to fix it pretty reasonable. Worse case, those heads are pretty cheap these days. No need to do both heads, though. I...

Re: What do I need for ls6 upgrades from ls1.

I used to run a Lingenfelter GT2-3. It was 207/220 .571/.578 118.5 LSA. I ran it with some cheap ported heads and my 02 Firehawk made 390 to the wheels on the stock tune. You need some good...

Re: Camaro Z/28 Laps Nurburgring in 7:37.40

I respect your right to interpret the events as you saw. But Ford went through a lot of trouble to bring production level cars back there. Why else would they do that if not for marketing the car?...

Re: Finally drove a 2014 -1ss

I know Michigan is different, but most dealers here sell at invoice or $100 under invoice to non-gm discount sales (which is like 5-10%% around here).

A citation for what? The video showing this is on youtube. They brought brand new cars and never posted a time. Fill in the blanks for the rest of the story.

Re: Camaro Z/28 Laps Nurburgring in 7:37.40

GM beats in where it matters - sales. They win just about all that magazine contests, and other than the months that Ford puts big dollars on the mustang hoods hoods, Camaro has soundly beat them in...

Re: Camaro Z/28 Laps Nurburgring in 7:37.40

I don't know what your definition of developmental work is. Mine is whebn you are fine tuning the car before production starts. So when you have a car at the ring after it has started production, and...

Re: Camaro Z/28 Laps Nurburgring in 7:37.40

Bitter much? Most of your post is just complaining about the price of new cars. Ford raised all it's prices when Camaro came out, but I don't hear you complaining about that? Camaro and Mustang are...

Re: Camaro Z/28 Laps Nurburgring in 7:37.40

It is too bad Ford went to the ring with the GT500 and never released the times. I guess they couldn't hang.
