I had planned to install this engine in my 68 Corvette convertible along with a Tremec 5-speed. However, I’ve decided to sell the 68 and refocus my attention on finishing the restoration on my 69 427/435 Corvette coupe, so the engine no longer has a home.

Starting with a 1993 9C1 police car 350 ( RPO LO5), factory roller cam, one-piece rear main seal, 2 bolt main. The block was bored 30 over (now 355 CID), hot tanked and inspected, and received new brass freeze plugs. The crank was polished and magnafluxed; the rods were balanced, shotpeened, and installed with new ARP rod bolts; and the rotating assembly computer balanced.

Upgrades include:

· New (in the box from GMPP) L31 Vortec heads

· New stock-compression hypereutectic pistons and rings, all new cam, main and rod bearings, head bolts, gaskets and seals

· New Crane performance street cam (suitable for automatic trans w/stock stall and power brakes, nothing crazy) and new GM OEM roller lifters

· New Edelbrock Vortec Performer manifold and ARP manifold bolts

· New double-roller timing set

Assembly and machine work by ECAM Performance Engines, Glenside, PA

DeskTop Dyno shows this engine making around 360 HP and over 400 lb-ft of Torque. I also have a used GMPP HOT cam that I’ll include for $100. Add this cam, an RPM intake, 1.6 rockers, and new springs, and you have 412HP and 422 lb-ft of Torque, per CHP (http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/techarticles/67838). Either way, it would make a great engine for a 1st or 2nd Gen Camaro!

I have ~$2500 into this engine and would like to recoup at least most of my investment. I’m asking $2000.
