Project car for sale

1987 Transam with 120K miles (stock engine died in 1997 or so)
Single owner bought new in Southern CA
Blue with silver bottom exterior and gray interior
Factory AC, PS, PB, Tilt, Cruise, Digital Dash, RW Defog., Int. Wipers
T-Tops
5-speed
I was forced to declare it junk in the communist state of California which does not allow you to sell a vehicle “as-is”.

Modified parts on car at this time:
Factory 16” wheels which are painted blue inside and chromed on face surface
Hurst shifter
Herb Adams panhard bar
Koni springs/shocks (red)
HPM LCAs
Banks cat-back (two pipes exiting drivers side)
Poly bushings throughout
Smothers Bros. 12-bolt rear with 3.55 gears and Wilwood 12" disks (freshly gone through, new seals/bearings)
Newly rebalanced driveshaft with new U-joints
Cyberdyne speedo calibration box

Condition/needs:
The car has sat for about 8 years. Sometimes outside and sometimes inside. Needs some dents and one big ding in pass. door fixed and then the whole thing painted. Needs new front facia or may be able to fix tear in foglight hole? Hood is off due to removal of engine. Needs parking brake cabling work to hook up to Wilwood system. Noticed small leak in front brake fluid somewhere(was going to replace hoses with stainless). Was eventually going to get a stouter tranny. Interior so so for carpet, seats, dash, headliner. Driver seat 2 tears. Steering wheel leaking something. I put a bunch of Dynamat type stuff in the rear section. I installed MB quart separates in rear panels. Kenwood unit in dash and cd changer loose in rear. AC is still intact and worked last time the car ran. All dash items worked good. Power door locks did not open correctly all the time (another project). Don’t know about leaks since it does not rain much here.

Out of car :
ZZ3 shortblock, engine basically new
TFS heads
Edelbrock runners and baseplate (mild home port)
Edelbrock TES headers coated (home ported to match heads)
AFPR
24# injectors (near new)
52mm TB (original pro ported)
Crane 99846 springs (new and on heads)
Crane clone 1.6 full-roller rockers (near new)
Mr. Gasket chrome valve covers modified for rocker clearance (used)
Intake gasket set
Ported plenum (original)
K&N filter and custom intake pipe (replaces box from MAF to TB)
Centerforce Gold clutch with 30K miles
Accel Power Programmer piggyback module and Calmap software (maps for 305 and 350)
Hypertech chip for 305, FIS chip for 350
Random 3” cat (new)
Distributor Accell
Wilwood pads (new)
Oil Temp and Fuel Pressure gauges with pod/accs.
Heated O2 sensor and harness
Lower temp secondary fan switch
New knock sensor and module for 350
Starter from ZZ3 (rusty outside) very heavy duty
2 different flywheels stock from 305 and one was on ZZ3 (very heavy)
Stock stuff air box/MAF/O2/starter/more forgotten
All metal emission stuff (air pump is frozen and some lines need replacement)
Set of Goodyear High-Miler hoses
Center console (good shape)
Radiator
Misc. hoses/bolts/brackets (should be complete for accs.)
Alternator (good shape)
Front facia (needs repair/relacement)
Front plastic parts under facia all good
Moroso spark plug wires (OK but was going to replace)
New heavy duty water pump
SFCs
Shop manual

Things that need to be done:
Install Wilwood proportioning valve
Do something with the emergency brakes
Fix interior
Install pod gauges
Install heads (need gaskets and correct length pushrods)
Install intake system (need to get allen head bolts for runners)
Bolt up headers (need to get Stage-8 bolts)
Install engine
Hook up all the millions of brakets/hoses/vacuum lines etc. (need misc. small things)
Note: Engine can be run MAF or MAP since conversion is very easy
Hook up exhaust (Y-pipe has dinged end that goes to converter so it may not slide on perfectly)
Drive around with no hood and no front terrorizing neighborhood
Assemble rest of exterior
Have it painted
Drive it and have fun, at least that was the original plan. Now I would like to sell the whole thing to someone ready for a project. I have moved a couple times so I may have lost something in the list above, but the new buyer will get everything I do have for it plus a 20 ton press and engine stand.

$5500

Re: Project car for sale

Parting out. By far, the most important thing to get rid of is the bulk of the car itself. It is sitting with basically the engine/accessories out. I am looking for $1500 for the 12 bolt and will let the entire rest of car it is attached to go for $300 more as it sits without engine/accessories/stereo.

Re: Project car for sale

I have had interest in certain parts, but that still does not help empty that bay of the garage. So I think I'll push it onto a trailer and take the parts off and take it to a salvage yard. Unless someone local wants what is left of the shell for free and is willing to help me, or wants the car as it sits for $1500.
