1992 Camaro RS B4C 1LE For Sale! Police Package!
Up for sale is a 1992 Chevrolet Camaro RS with the highly sought after B4C Police Package. I bought this car about a month ago and the engine in my other Camaro has three cracks in the block. I can't afford two projects so the B4C is for sale.
This vehicle has the B4C (police package), 1LE (heavy duty brakes), and LB9 (230 HP 305 TPI V8) option codes. Also included with the LB9 engine option is the Borg-Warner T5 5-speed transmission (option MM5). This combination made these cars as fast as the 350 L98 cars and way more fun to drive. This car is a former Texas DPS Highway Patrol Car.
B4C - `Special Service' police package was available to law enforcement agencies only. Cars were RS coupes with Z28 5.0 TPI or 5.7 TPI drivetrains and Z28 suspensions. These cars came equipped with the 16 inch wheels and P245/50-ZR16 tires, engine oil cooler, rear disc brakes, and limited slip axle. HD calipers and 11.86 front brakes became standard on the B4C special service package. There were 589 1992 B4C Camaros built. This package was the only way to get air conditioning and the HD front brakes. This is your chance to buy the best handling, best braking, most powerful Third Generation Camaro produced.
Remember, only 589 were produced, even less with the 305/5-speed option. The value will only go up on this vehicle.
This vehicle is in excellent running condition and has 135,XXX miles. The engine runs extremely strong with no ticks, knocks, or smoke. The transmission shifts very smoothly through all gears and supposedly has a new clutch. The car handles extremely well and drives straight down the road. There is a slight vibration at high speed. This is most likely a tire or driveshaft slightly out of balance. The previous owner added a performance exhaust. The tires are almost new Goodyear Eagle RH 235 55R16's. The car was recently driven 600 miles from NW Indiana to Detroit and back and got 23 mpg at 80+ MPH. The car stops fine but the brakes are beginning to squeak (no grinding).
The body has many cosmetic flaws that you may want to address. The car was formerly a black and white patrol car. It was repainted at one time with metal flake maroon paint. The repaint is peeling in several locations. The car has miscellaneous dings and a small dent in the driver's door. A dent free door will be include with vehicle purchase. The front bumper cover has a small crack near the driver's side headlight pocket. A used bumper cover in better condition will be included. The chin spoiler is in poor condition and a used replacement is included. Other parts included are a steering wheel/column, dash assembly, driver's door sill, and driver's ground effect. Things the car needs but are not included are door weather-stripping, windshield, headliner, driver's seat, and dash pad. Two antenna holes are plugged in the roof.
The air conditioning blows cold and the vehicle has absolutely No Rust! There are no major problems with this vehicle. It just needs paint and some TLC to make this a beautiful rare factory high performance Camaro.

What are you looking for to fix your other car? If it's an LT1 car, I have a ton of performance parts including a lot of 396 cubic inch parts. Interested in trade? I am in St Louis during the week.

I have another '92 Z28 with a 383. I bought new heads and was going to freshen the shortblock. There was 3 cracks in the block so I decided to upgrade. I have a 406 in the works but I'm broke now and can't afford two projects. So the B4C must go. I am just trying not to lose my azz on it.
I've collected most of the parts the B4C needs, but don't have the time to swap them and paint it.
