I'm back in business...

......well after three years the TA is back in business.

A HUGE thanks to Matt for what he has done to the car the last 9 months because without him, this would continue to be nothing more then a bunch of spare parts badly bolted together.

He made some massive changes to my ride - more on that later. The car passsed air care and feels STUNNINGLY strong. That being said, it rides like a freakin' go cart and I have to change the suspension set up - most importently to go back to a stock torque arm rather then the Spohne.

For those that were wondering. When last I updated I had a recurring overheating problem on a new engine. After endless hours trying to find out why - changing multiple water pumps, electric fans etc Matt found the problem. Wrong head gasket.

*sign*

Anyway, for reasons I do not want to get into, I changed the heads to some AFR 220's - I think - and went back to the stock computer.

Bottom line it is scary fast. And I mean REALLY scary. (Third gear, 3,000 rpm, 70kms. Floor it and the tires break loose. I don't mean they 'chirp'. I mean the tach hits the rev limiter almost instantly and the rear end wiggles all over.)

There are some clean up things to do and then take it to the dyno to get some numbers.

If anyone is interested.

I'm looking for some after market lower control arms and possibly willing to sell the ZR1 wheels.

c ya on the road.

Good to see her back on the road man! Sound like the last time I drove her, Sideways at 150Km

I have seen alot of things on that TQ arm. Stock is a great part as long as you do not hook the power hard.

I can't wait to see your number man!

Good Luck!

Congrats!!

Wow it's been a while since I've been on here!

Although my car is no where close to the project you've got going, I too have been sitting for 3 years with it torn apart. It's been moved from 3 different garages and I haven;t turned a nut on it it 2 1/2 years.

It feels like I don't even know where to start!
LOL

Matt, good to see your still tinkering with these things. I thought you were never going to sell your beast? WHat r u driving now? not a civic i hope.
I'll be calling you in a few months, I'll need your help as well. Shoot me your contact info so I can get a hold of ya!
Oh yeah... How's your sister?

I'm glad as well, this beast was pretty much the last I've worked on, not enoug time now days to tinker. Thus why min is sold.
