Old Camaro hand Newbie Owner
[IMG][/IMG]
Hello all
I recently Purchased 1 1995 Camaro Z28 167k (45k on rebuilt motor) runs
strong previous owner put new parts in (Koni shocks and bushings from what I
see) I have added a few (short stick to Hurst shifter )so far and changed fluids.
I am not new to Camaros as I have had many friends own Gen 1,2,3,4 s
that I helped work on. I even put a 350 in 78' one time by hand with wood
and two other guys(it cost a windshield but it got done!). First time CaMaro
owner I did have an 84' Trans-am basket case but that didnt last long.
Anyway for Northeastern car this has minimal rust if any just some paint
chip\fade issues. I also inherited it with a leaking exhaust manifold (Drivers side
oh joy). That's the worst though and the previous owner had the decency t
o buy me Lingenfelter SLP Intake! Myself I am a backyard mechanic since I
was in short pants teaching my teenage son about it now. Previous rides
include 99 Ford SHO(pretty fun car), 05 Imapla(3.4l reliable but that's about
it), 1986 Omni GLH(modded to GLHS+ and fun dusting stock 350 80s
Camaros sorry but hey any 5speed Camaro that had a decent exhaust was
different story ) BTW this was Englishtown in the 80s if you are concerned
about Street Racing I'll leave my Woodhaven Blvd tales out of the forum.
Also this 95 has modded exhaust forget the brand but he said it wasn't
cheap and I just finished changing the fluid in the T56 with fresh Dex. Look
forward to some decent threads on there!
