New guy from NorCal
Hello all,
I just bought a 1994 Camaro V6, maroon in color . I know its not a Z28 but I think this forum will be the best for information mining. I got the car for a screaming deal because the owner thought the transmission needed a rebuild. Based on what I know about automatics, its probably fine. But if I blow it up, I'll swap in a 5 speed anyways!
Its got 99,000 mi, and easily the cleanest 4th gen I've seen. Interior is showroom mint and exterior took a wax really nicely. Short term plans are to drive it as it is. Long term plan is to transplant the 3.4L into my 1985 S10 Blazer camping/offroader. Then maybe an LS for the Camaro.
I've already got some questions about the car but I'll take those to the technical forum.
Thanks a lot!

Welcome. Congrats on the new car, she looks good! I'm always happy to see more 4th gen's.
Update your signature to include your car, that it's a V6 and A4 tranny so folks will know and you won't have to repeat yourself when asked.
I saw your post on the Bose speaker system and replied, hope it helps.

Welcome to CamaroZ28.com!!!
Owning a Z28 is not a prerequisite - check my signature. Unfortunately, the majority of active members are LT1 V8 owners, and that means if you have a tech question related to the V6 engine, you may need to be patient to get an answer. But we will try and help as best we can.
Good luck with the car.

Thanks for the welcome fellas. Tech questions relating to the V6 shouldn't be a problem for me. Its the same motor as in my 1985 S10 Blazer, just bored out to 3.4L and with EFI, so I've had a lot (uugh....too much) experience with the boat anchor 60 degree V6's.
And, oh boy, every minute I own this car I want to do an LS swap after I transplant the 3.4 into the Blazer.
