The coolant light indicates low level in the radiator. First verify the coolant is full in the radiator, and the system has been correctly bled of air. If you have verified the coolant is full:
Common problem. The coolant penetrates the coolant level switch on the back of the radiator end tank, right below the fill cap, and corrodes the printed circuit board. You can try cleaning the switch, but seldom fixes it. A replacement switch is available. You can temporarily turn off the dash light by unplugging the switch. Just be sure to check level frequently.
