Baby's birthday

Baby's birthday
I'm not a newbie but I didn't know where else to post this. On this day 20 years ago, I brought my baby home from the dealership. I had ordered her in July 1994 and it took six months to finally get here. She's a bone stock Z28, 6 speed, T-Top, graphite cloth, cd with 129,000 miles. She enjoys a nice retired life in the garage, only seeing the road on a nice day.
I would like to thank this forum as it has been invaluable to me over the years.

Re: Baby's birthday
Hey Dave,
I found out mine has a 12/94 build date. The dealership I ordered her from never could give me a delivery date so I had almost given up after a couple months. My understanding was it took so long because I ordered a 6 speed and they didn't build very many.

Welcome to CamaroZ28.com!!!
Great to see some of these cars being held on to by the original purchasers.
You can get a complete printout of the RPO codes, build date, and number manufactured with each RPO here:
Comprehensive Chevrolet, Pontiac VIN Decoder
Used to be free, but now there is a small charge.
I bought my 94 brand new in Pasadena,CA in August 1994. Has about 80,000 miles on it now, and unfortunately sits in the garage most of the time, collecting dust. I'm retiring this year, and the car will be back on the track shortly thereafter .
You are correct on the availability of the 6-speed manual cars. They had manufacturing problems with the T56 and it took me 6 months to actually find a car with a T56. I went to the Pontiac/Buick/GMC dealer in Pasadena, and they had just received delivery of two T56's - a Bright Blue T/A, leather, no t-tops, and a Dark Green Formula, cloth with t-tops. The owner of the dealership had picked up one of the 25th Anniversary T/A's - a convertible with T56, very rare, and stashed it in storage somewhere in the CA desert.
