ABS has nothing to do with whether the engine starts. Unplug the EBCM. Remove the bulb or cut the wire.

Re: abs delete
Strange held up to 5,000 - 6,000 RPM clutch dumps (McLeod Street Twin) on a very sticky track, back when the car still had the T56. With the TH400 it has a much easier life. Very easy plug-and-play.
I did have a problem when Strange installed a carrier without the machined-in ABS reluctor. Adjustable sensor was there, but no reluctor. But they had me take it to a local shop, which we both agreed on, and sent the replacement carrier, all new bearings, etc to the shop. Fully warranted the shops work.
I wouldn't get the ABS option again. The Strange adjustable sensor had a short life, and I didn't want to replace it.
The stock sway bar hit the LPW cast cover (used to be standard, now it's optional) when the rear squatted. All I had to do was rotate the u-bolt clamps about a 1/2" rearward, problem went away. But I had to notch the clamp to fit over the locator bar on the axle tubes. I think now they send the unit with the u-bolt mounts welded on, in the correct position.
With a Spohn 1-5/16" solid chrome moly bar, and the huge Spohn u-bolt kit that came with the bar, no problems at all. A buddy of mine had a problem with the upper panhard rod brace contacting the rear when it really squatted, took a 1/4" off a small section of the brace and the problem went away. All sort of minor issues.
