96 Z28 T Top
New guy here, this is my second F-body, first was a 95 Formula.
Quick facts:
From Iowa
In the Navy, so expect me to move around and be in your area some day.
22 years old and learning how NOT to drive like a total jackwagon.
I come from a "respect the build" kind of car scene. Stanced, lowered, drag, street, show, whatever; it's their car and their preference, not yours kind of mentality.
Just learning how to wrench for the first time. I've done oil changes, tie rods, wheel studs, and a water pump.
Rescued the car from someone who put a body kit and RK Sport spoiler on the car, along with Corvette wheels with emblems still intact. (No offense if that's your style, just not my taste) The engine was full of surgical tubing held on with some sort of adhesive in the tube, zip ties, an allen wrench plugging a vacuum line, a cheap cold-air style intake(but not very functional), and a few other miscellaneous riggings. Wires were sticking out everywhere inside, headliner was raggedy and without the tops in, you got headliner particles in your eyes. Exhaust is cut off pre-cat from a shoddy straightpipe job.
Future projects for the car are gonna be the MAF, finding some less curb rashed wheels, a real exhaust that isn't inappropriately loud, a new hood/nose, and maybe even a repaint if I decide she's a long-term keeper.
I'll have to upload pics for you guys some time.
