1995 z28 upgrade
Hey, new here but long time camaro fan. I have a bone stock 1995 z28 with 6 speed manual that I am thinking of modding the engine. I have not kept up on newer car bolt ons since the 90s so looking for some input. Yeh, I know so the budget is $2-3k and I want to keep the stock look. I have built up engines in the past for some other camaros that I had but now it is different with OBDII. Also, I have some 1974-1979 camaro parts from cars I parted out in the 1980s that I want sell. Planning on going to the camaro superfest this year for the first time this year so maybe I will meet some of you there.

Welcome to CamaroZ28.com!!!
Good news - while your 95 has a 16-pin OBD-2 style ALDL connector, the PCM is still OBD-1. Makes some things simpler.
Where you go with the modifications will depend heavilly on the car's intended use. You can focus on straight line performance (e.g. 1/4-mile), road race/auto-x handling, or balanced street car with a bit of extra power, good handling and decent reliabilty.
I would start by looking through the "LT1 Based Engine Tech" forum, and the various specialty forums - drivetrain, suspension, chassis, and brakes, etc.
