New member looking for original owner
Hi guys, my name is Frank and I own a former Bob Johnson drag car out of Scuncio Chevrolet in RI. It's a 68 Camaro Z28 and I've owned it since 1981. I have a complete history of the car back until 1969 when the original owner traded the car in at Scuncio for what Bob remembers to be a LS6 Chevelle.
The Z was originally purchased, according to a NICB report, from Emerson Chevrolet in Somersworth NH. It's Le Mans blue, with a black vinyl top and a black deluxe interior. The one option that may stick out in someones head that may remember the car, is it was a stripe delete car.
Being a trade in, Bob Johnson, the high performance manager of Scuncio, bought it from Scuncio, and it joined his 10 or so other drag cars racing in New England. But, he never had or, may have lost any original paper work. I've had the car certified by Bob as one of his actual drag cars, and to verify the fact it is a real 68 Z. But I would love to meet or talk to the original owner and see if he has any pics or documentation of the car when new.
Thanks for listening to me ramble on and on, and thanks for any help, Frank.

A little more info,........the owner may have been in the service, because it's thought he may have been stationed in CT, explaining why a NH sold car ended up at Scuncio in Greenville RI...........which was only about 20 minutes from the CT border.
Any leads or info, my email is fafhd@hotmail.com,......thanks again.
