73 Z/28 LS1 swap progress

After a lull in production due to lack of funds we are making progress on the swap.

Most of the stuff done is stuff that is not photogenic except for the dash.

It came out pretty good, Auto Meter gauges and covan classic dash plate. We had to fab up our own green turn signals and blue high beam indicator.

The exhaust is done and we've thrown it on the dyno to do some baseline tuning.

I put up a video on my webshots page.

The lighting in the shop is not the greatest for video's, every one I've taken inside looks hazy....

This was just some baseline tuning with no timing in the motor (17* across the board) and the air fuel was off and it was just to see where the factory tune was (rich as a bastard) so nothing to report numbers wise. Tuning is being done on a Mustang dyno and those give lower numbers than a Dynojet. Once the tuning is complete then I'll post both the Mustang and Dynojet numbers.

It's a tad frusterating that it's taken this long but when you tell the shop you're out of money (household things took priority and I'm not getting into debt with this car like I did on the Tomato) and they are booked 6 weeks out it takes a bit to get back in the cue....

Anyway it was nice to see the old girl again and good to drive it even if it only was on the dyno

My favorite saying is now more appropriate than ever......

"Two weeks"

Marc

Marc she sounds nice. I can't wait to see it again with the new motor. Was the video of you on the dyno at SRA?
