check out that picture, the one one the right is one from the set that was in the car, they are mighty GRF43 mechanic told me they cross referenced to the autolite 103's i like to use. The car was in for head gaskets and they put new plugs in.

well, i decided to check the gap on them before i was going to go to the track today, lucky i did. the gaps were .050 to .055. and i cracked two of the plugs all to hell. so i bought some new 103's and then the comparison really shocked me.

do those look like hot plugs to y'all? the 103's are VERY different compared to the mighty brand ones. i am glad i got these changed out and put the track on hold tonight, if i sprayed it, it might have gone up!

With the online cross reference charts I have...I could not cross back to the 103....it crossed back to the Autolite 5245 and the NGK TR-4-2 which is way to hot for NA much less nitrous

yeah, i think i found my random misfire.

if i drove the car til it got up to operating temperature, let it sit for about an hour or so (like going to the gym), then come back and drive it, it would misfire like hell for about 2-5 minutes under low load conditions. the change in plugs seems to have made that problem go away too

thanks ray

at the time i ran the time in my sig all i had on the car was:

stock rear springs, eibach sportlines up front
removed sway bar
stock LT1 with stock manifolds
MT ET Streets (26x10.5x16)
stock rear
slipping 1-2 shift stock trans
moroso intake
computer tune
autolite 103 plugs
cutout
blaster SS coil

thats about it, since then i've gotten long tubes with true duals and H pipe, 3000 stall, built trans, 1.6 roller rockers, felpro metal ring head gaskets, and a better tune. hoping to dive deeper into the 11's with that but i gotta get the stupid thing running correctly first

i sprayed it the other night and it was pinging like crazy so i let out of it.

ray, i wonder since my computer tune was for stock head gaskets, and stock rockers, could it be throwing off things and making it idle funny, and ping while on the juice?
