NOS bottle out of date???
#2
Iv had my old one "1987" refilled 3 times recently with no problems or questions
I did ask the owner of Southern Automotive about it and they just look for torch marks and dings
the last guy who filled it didn't empty it first, and it now has over 13#s in it
a welding supply should be able to check it out or tell you who to look for

Scuba
Guy's,
Try your local dive shops...
The scuba alum. bottles, can be filled to 3000 psi, and the steel bottles filled to 3600 psi, much higher than NOS bottles.
Most of the shops that fill scuba tanks do "Hydro" testing.
The tech puts the bottle in a tub filled with water, and then air's her up...
The shop will stamp the new hydro date on the neck of the bottle.
