Nitrous Works kit-175 shot anyone go higher

I called Nitrous works to see if they had jets to go higher than the 175 shot. they said the kit will handle aprox. a 225 shot but wouldn't know how to calibrate it for that. just wondering if anyone on here is using this kit and sprayed more than the 175.

thx,
tim

Here's a good calculator to start with.

I called Nitrous Works about the Lt1 Plate Kit and they said 175 is the max, due to the flow capabilities of the plate.. And I dont seem to gain much after 150 jetting.. I heard the Solenoids are the weak point and dont flow very good.. Thats the lt1 plate kit.. I put the Big NOS solenoids on my car and it seem to go better at the track on the same jets as the Nitrous Works solenoids. Just my experience..

For those interested in running big shots on a plate kit...our LTx plates will max flow 400hp.

Will the Harris speed works dual nozzle kit work with your plate system? If not what is needed to make it work? Also at what shot would you consider a LE Ported intake and realy the LT1 set up to no longer realy make the most use of the size shot that is given. For instance once you start going over a 200 shot the gains seem to be minimal. Do you have any insight on this? Thanks!

yes but you will need to replace the T fitting in the solenoid with a straight fitting and you would only use one line from the solenoids to the plate

this will depend on how well the top end flows.....the LTx style intake manifold can start to see distribution issues above a 200 shot...you will need to really start watching plugs when running a large shot and tune to the "hot" cylinder.

I have run into a similar issue...my old setup was a set of good ported LT1 castings and ported LT1 intake....similar flow #'s to the LE2 heads. The car made 390whp NA, 500whp on a 150 shot, and 530 whp on a 200 shot...this was through the NX MAF kit. I then switched to a set of AFR 227's and a single plane intake with internal spray bar. The car made 390whp NA, 509whp on a 100 shot, and 580 on a short 200 HP hit...it blew the A/F meter out of the exhaust and we lifted around 5800 RPM....if you follow the previous curves it would have made around 630whp. With the old setup I don't think I could move enough air.

P.S. dyno # are through a loose unlocked converter

yes you could run the Plate and the NX MAF kit....that would each be an independant stage.

this is a dry kit, and is no better than putting a nozzle in the back of the TB
