Re: Jason McSorley
If anyone can get in touch with him, please let him know he needs to take care of the bad check he wrote me for a cam ($300).
I have his phone # and actually spoke with him 1 1/2 weeks ago and he said he would send $$$ but now he does not answer.
He lives on Timberland drive in Howard City Mi.
If anyone knows him, just let him know i am still expecting payment.
thanks,
Lloyd

Re: Jason McSorley
uhm...you should probably look around a bit before being sure, but that reminds me a lot of a scammer that was on these forums a while ago under a few different user names. yet again, i cant guarantee it, but you might have just gotten screwed...

He looks to have bought a house next door to his parents or something.

There are also posts on the Corvette forums from about eight years ago that indicates he owns a 1985 Corvette and is relocated from Cedar Springs. Keep trying, mate - looks like you got the whole internet covered.

Re: Jason McSorley
RV93, PM me the other names you think it could be also.
yea, crummy deal.
It was a credit card check and i waited a week before actually placing the order on his cam.
I got a message from my bank about the bounced check 2 weeks later and i was actually able to get in touch with Comp and have them redirect the cam in shipment from him to me BUT something got lost somewhere.
Comp is going to credit me for the cam if I do not get $$$ from this dead beat since it was there screw up BUT I still do not want someone walking around with a free cam.
If anyone else has any problems with him please contact me. This makes 2 checks he has written and i can get you the Howard City officers name and case #.
Thanks guys.

Re: Jason McSorley
yep, that is the correct address the cam went to.
Thanks for the info.
I'll write a letter to the parents/relatives and let them know that Jason wrote me a bad check for $300 and has no intentions of making it right.
They may be aware of what Jason is like or maybe not. i do not mind spending the 5 minutes to write a letter and 50 cents for envelope/stamp to make sure they are aware.
Thabnks again.

Re: Jason McSorley
Just send an invoice to the two property addresses I listed above. Enclose a police department report # of the complaint. Explain that legal action may ensue if the matter isn't cleared up. If anything, the neighbor, who has the same last name, will have something to talk about. I expect that they are probably relatives. Since they are still homeowners, there's a good chance they are employed and bringing in at least something. The guy might be discouraged , run out of money, and your payment fell below the line; who knows - be persistent but dont get offensive, especially over small change like $300. Your reputation of being honest AND fair in business is worth more than that. Keep it cool & you'll go farther in the long run
