1995 Z-28 upgrades

I just bought a 95 Z-28 with 68,500 original miles, It is a nice car, but would like to do some minor upgrades to it. i had a 94 6-speed many years ago and it seemed way more powerful than this automatic car. After some RPO code research I found out that this 95 only has a 2.73 rear compared to my 94 that had a 3.42 which explained to me why the low end performance seemed weak on this car. It is in great shape other than some chassis rust that I can take care of. It has what seems to sound like an exhaust manifold leak and I want to change out the full exhaust and improve the intake system. I would also like to know what is the best rear ratio for the rear for the automatic. I am not looking for a drag car or anything crazy. I know I ran my 94 6-speed on the drag strip and it did a 14.01 at 99.7 mph pure stock with street tires.
I don't want to spend a ton of money, but a 2 to 3 k would be cool, I can do the work myself, just need some advice on the most economical rearend, exhaust and intake systems, as well as ignition. She could use a tune by now I am sure.
Thanks guys
By the way how do I post a picture on this site of the car?

Re: 1995 Z-28 upgrades

Ceramic headers, high flow cats, cold air intake , 373 gears. OEM plugs and wires since
you are replacing the headers....be sure to get new header bolts
next ........1.6rr springs, cc503 cam , stall nothing smaller than 2800
If a T-Top car subframe connectors. ........you would have better luck posting this in basic engine tech
