    It looks like the space thread got locked. To answer your question to me, I am an engineer by trade--worked in aerospace for about 27 years. To reference another Tom Hanks movie, I'm a lot like the Forest Gump of aerospace. I have seen more than my share of really cool things during my career--just by being at the right place at the right time. Right now, I am a Senior Project Engineer on the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter lift fan system on the STOVL marine variant.
